Then you must have watched the game for hours, thanks for that.
The trains still have difficulties with pathfinding and sleep mode.
lol ok
It's (just) a game, but one I enjoy playing, so I don't think I can properly express how happy I am when things get better. Thank you for all the things you've changed so often at the players' request.
The approaches are now all blue at this point, EXCEPT for the exits from the station, which are still red. This train still shows as moving even though it's no longer moving. That's the sleep mode I'm describing. Just saying. I'll now make the exits blue for testing.

And here's another scenario: In the past, I had built waypoints there. Since these were ignored, I deleted them from the route and removed them. Unfortunately, the game didn't completely delete them. This is slowly bringing the entire network to a standstill. By the way, the last picture doesn't have a red zone in front of the train entrance.

This line is completely out of service. Yesterday I laid new tracks, rebuilt the station, and reassigned the lines. It then worked for a few hours until I noticed it again just now. Only this line is behaving this way. I zoomed out a bit to make it easier to find; it's located near the rockets.

I think it says it's looking for a route. Which isn't instant. I don't know how long its been there for.
I set up the blue zone that way because you said it's due to the red no-stop zone in front of the station. The line ran for several hours. The test with the blue exit from the station is still ongoing.
I don't know, maybe the save file is just too large (too many things that need to be calculated). If that's the case, it would be nice if you could give me a little hint. 🙂

The line is back to work normally. Perhaps I've simply incurred the wrath of the captains' spirits since I haven't built a tomb yet ^^
In the video, the issue is that the train is full. It won't go to the loading station as there is no point: all it would then do is go back to where it is having burned fuel and accomplish nothing.
Yes, that makes sense; it's a backup line for the copper contract should the pressed recycled copper not arrive or be insufficient.
So the UI could be better, and if you had waypoints it would go to the waypoints and cycle through, I think
Yes, that's the case. Unfortunately, other trains also pass through the waypoints, so there can be problems there again. Furthermore, waypoints are often ignored (at least for me). It would be great to be able to reserve track sections in advance. For example, I know I have 5 trains and how long they are so I can get them all onto the reserved stopping tracks. 🙂 Of course, this would require precise measurements from the players, otherwise it wouldn't be very useful.
The station entrance and exit are both blue now. It's been running smoothly at these two stations for the last 5 hours without any stops. This could be interesting.

You can't rely on my statements; I can only say what I see in the game. I'm not competent enough in programming to have deeper knowledge. I think it's important to say that thanks to your tip, I'm having fewer problems, and where problems do arise, I first convert the entrance to blue. If that doesn't work, I'll do the same for the exit. I'll keep an eye on it, purely out of self-interest. hehe. P.S. Automatic saving has been increased from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Just wanted to make sure I mentioned everything.
Circled in red: Input and output in blue. No errors over 12 hours. Left: Medic input blue, output red. There were problems. Now also with Medic input and output blue. Testing continues.

It's not always enough, but usually it works. Removing the red color and applying the blue color to the switch makes the train start moving again automatically. In my opinion, the game's code needs more definition. "Train must stop because of stop zone/ if train must stop because of stop zone/train must check again/what can I do? Train must wait... check again/what can I do?" This would prevent the "moving" status (even though it's not actually moving) from even occurring in the first place.
After hours of testing, I can say it's not just the stop zones. Some trains also fall asleep when the entrance and exit are blue. ^^
Without a save with the state where the train is "asleep" it's hard for us to do anything.
It's okay, I give up. It could be a lot of things: my PC, the game speed, pausing too often while building, tracks laid too close together, too many switches coming from one track section... etc.
