52 votes At Start, Pick Your Own Settlement Location 3 · Nomios [ideas] · 12 months ago New content Population & Services 12 months ago by Jamie [ideas] Posted 4 years ago The first thing I do when I start a new map is moving the Settlement. I usually align it with the Shipyard. I bet most players don't even bother and accept the location the devs picked. This made me wonder: why not add this as part of the game, that you ge…

52 votes Bridges and Pillars 1 · Kestrel [ideas] 2 · 4 years ago New content Vehicles & Roads 4 years ago by Dafader [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Have a bridge pillar to be able to chain ramps (or bridge segments) . It would be useful to create elevated roadways or cross pits/bodies of water.

52 votes EV Pickup Trucks 5 · jack lockwood [ideas] · 4 years ago New content Vehicles & Roads 4 years ago by Dyanosis [ideas] Posted 5 years ago I think adding EV trucks to the game would be a great idea. Instead of fuel stations you have charging stations. Vehicles could spend longer charging than they would filling up with diesel. Perhaps just the small pickup truck size as an EV option.

51 votes Gasification Unit , Coal , wood, biomass = fuel gas + exhaust 3 · DemBones · 1 year ago New content Production & Recipes 1 year ago by halcyforn Posted 3 years ago Add a Gasification unit to the game. 51 votes Input/output for the main shipyard 4 · sigkill [ideas] · 1 month ago Quality of life World Map & Ships 1 month ago by Sworn Posted 4 years ago It would be a good QOL improvement to be able to use belts/pipes to have input and/or output for the main shipyard, for importing products via the ship when you load cargo from oil rigs / mines / sawmills manually. This could be done with an upgrade that (…

51 votes The world map has many locations, what if we could actually build on them like… 2 · Zytukin [ideas] · 5 years ago New content World Map & Ships 5 years ago by Zytukin [ideas] Posted 5 years ago The world map has many locations, what if we could actually build on them like our current island? The world map has many locations, what if instead of just visiting them, we could actually build on them? For the oil and water locations, instead of generat…

50 votes Lay Train Double-Tracks 0 · Matthias [ideas] · 8 months ago Quality of life Trains 8 months ago by Matthias [ideas] Posted 8 months ago The idea is to have additional the ability to lay double tracks at once instead of single track. A double track would have the needed space inbetween, also for corners / curves. Yes, currently if you follow certain placement rules, you can do it manually, …

50 votes Repeatable research for end game (vehicles) Done 3 · Nicolas [ideas] 2 · 2 years ago Balance Research & Tech Vehicles & Roads 2 years ago by Xenon [ideas] Posted 2 years ago I suggest a simple research in end-game that would allow mega-factory to be build. A repeatable project that increase the number of maximum vehicles by 10, but the cost/time of this research would double each time it is repeated. In end-game, vehicles limi…

50 votes When there is no current Tech research going on, Labs should not use Unity Done 0 · Peter34 [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Population & Services Research & Tech 4 years ago by Peter34 [ideas] Posted 4 years ago I like to do my research in a stop-and-go way, where I have a lot of Labs, like 5 or 6 or 8 (or more), and when I finish researching one Tech, then I learn what it does and how to use it, then after 5-20 minutes I pick another Tech, finish it, learn what i…

49 votes Allow ships to deliver from dock to dock on the map 2 · Workwaffle [ideas] · 7 months ago New content Quality of life World Map & Ships 7 months ago by seok [ideas] Posted 7 months ago With the addition of ship pathfinding, maybe we can now use cargo ships as a late game item transport option? Like set them to go from pier to pier, giving extremely high throughput and ease of usage at the cost of high maintenance and fuel costs compared …

49 votes City road passthrough tile for cities 3 · lozack · 5 months ago New content Vehicles & Roads 5 months ago by GearMogg [ideas] Posted 10 months ago Add a city tile that would act like a pathway through your city.

49 votes Production Planner 0 · phunt [ideas] · 2 years ago New content UI & UX 2 years ago by phunt [ideas] Posted 2 years ago Add ingame production planner. It could work like a separate tool that helps you to calculate ratios or use the mechanics of selection tools. 49 votes Offshore vehicles 0 · M4KR0 [ideas] · 2 years ago New content Vehicles & Roads 2 years ago by M4KR0 [ideas] Posted 2 years ago Floating Excavators and transport boats. Upgrading increase the reachable depth. So you can build canals or extract resources on the waterfront of the island.

49 votes Colorblind options 6 · Verios44 [ideas] · 1 year ago Quality of life UI & UX 1 year ago by Peter [ideas] 5 Posted 4 years ago In multiple places, tooltips are presented in a red on black color scheme. This makes it very difficult for people like me to see what it’s trying to tell me. I can infer with reasonable accuracy, but being able to read the text properly will make life a l…

49 votes Oil/Diesel powered boilers Done 3 · MathijsF · 4 years ago New content Power & Energy 4 years ago by deimosian Posted 5 years ago By adding oil/diesel powered boilers it would relieve a bit of pressure on the coal mining

48 votes Power lines and transformers 1 · Kulin [ideas] · 1 year ago New content Power & Energy 1 year ago by Shiro [ideas] Posted 2 years ago I would love to be able to develop my own power network over the islands. That's one of the things I always look for in games, and it would be amazing if we had that option in this game as well. It would find new use for steel (for constructing steel power…

48 votes Option to Convert Main Ship to Hydrogen 0 · Ferrous · 2 years ago Quality of life World Map & Ships 2 years ago by Ferrous Posted 2 years ago We can already convert our vehicle fleet and cargo ships to hydrogen. For the price of some added electronics, we should be able to convert our main ship to hydrogen as well. Otherwise there has to be a legacy diesel tap somewhere for the main ship.

48 votes Manage multiple islands and establishing trade with own islands. 2 · ArtC · 7 months ago New content World Map & Ships 7 months ago by Declan [ideas] Posted 2 years ago Develop each island since grid can be so large. 47 votes Movable Transport Pillars Done 2 · Hmuda · 2 years ago Quality of life Logistics 2 years ago by Coesite [ideas] Posted 3 years ago I'm a bit OCD about pillar placement. I would love it if we could have a new button on a conveyor belt's or pipe's info window, allowing us to move pillars, next to the "Remove Products" and the "Toggle Directions" buttons. Clicking that new button would s…
