2 votes Option to have trucks move slower when out of diesel/maintenance 0 · Christoffer [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Vehicles & Roads 4 years ago by Christoffer [ideas] Posted 4 years ago It's quite easy to deadlock your game if you unexpectedly run out of diesel/maintenance since trucks will stop moving, meaning that even if you have a way to import required resources the resources will not be moved. An "easy mode" where the trucks start m…

2 votes Click on a resource in the pinned tree to locate it. 0 · Hoovy AKA Cragganmorax [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 4 years ago by Hoovy AKA Cragganmorax [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Basically clicking on a pinned item in the resource tree will move the camera over to the storages that are currently storing ex concrete, corn metal etc....

2 votes Production inputs/outputs numbers could be more clear 0 · John [ideas] 4 · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 4 years ago by John [ideas] 4 Posted 4 years ago I love and I'm fully addicted to your game. I would love a way to see the total inputs/outputs of a collection of machines both under full load and currently. I really don't like having to keep track of these things in Excel spreadsheets. Even if I could s…

2 votes Dumping at Mine(d) control towers 2 · reeperaut · 4 years ago Quality of life Terrain & Mining 4 years ago by reeperaut Posted 4 years ago right now you have to assign a truck directly to a loose storage for it to dump stored material. would be nice if that's also done by trucks assigned to the mine control

2 votes M (mining) and Z (waste dump) show the exact same areas 2 · Eric [ideas] 3 · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 4 years ago by KB Benton [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Since they both show the same marked areas it is quiet easy to confuse a mineable area with a dump area. M and Z should definitely only show mining or dump areas. Not both at the same time.

2 votes Automatically set cargo ships to go to, load and come back from oil… 0 · Anon [ideas] 2 · 4 years ago Quality of life World Map & Ships 4 years ago by Anon [ideas] 2 Posted 4 years ago Automatically set cargo ships to go to, load and come back from oil rigs/mines/sawmills etc Did I miss this feature somewhere or is it really not in the game yet? At some point you will run out of a lot of resources, why not make them easily infinite and s…

2 votes Buildings within Mining's Area of Assignment 0 · willvette · 4 years ago Terrain & Mining Vehicles & Roads 4 years ago by willvette Posted 4 years ago Buildings within a Mine Control Tower's area of assignment are preferred over other locations for vehicles. This concept mostly applies to storage, dumping both ore and spoils into localized containers for other vehicles to haul away, too keep a steady str…

2 votes 144Hz Frame Limit option 0 · Archimagus [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Performance 4 years ago by Archimagus [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Currently the frame limit option only goes up to 120. My monitors are 144hz which I think is reasonably common. So now I just leave the frame limiter off.

2 votes Recipe priority 0 · Andy Walker [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Production & Recipes 4 years ago by Andy Walker [ideas] Posted 4 years ago I'd like my copper blast furnace to prioritise using copper scrap, and only use raw ore if it's out of scrap. At the moment, my recycling centre is backing up because the furnace wanted to use ore first.

2 votes better visibility during earthworks 1 · steineib [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Terrain & Mining UI & UX 4 years ago by Jamie [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Hello :) a little suggestion when dredging or filling up. it would be possible that the knew that is at ground level, which is made more visible. I sometimes have a little trouble recognizing whether I'm turning it in the right direction or whether I'm doi…

2 votes Right clicking on a product in the Map doesn't take you to the recipe 1 · Andy Walker [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX World Map & Ships 4 years ago by Jamie [ideas] Posted 4 years ago I found a trade route where I could trade a Food Pack, but I couldn't find the recipe for Food Pack in the recipes page (because I hadn't unlocked it yet), and I couldn't right click on it in the settlement window in the Map view to see the recipe.

2 votes Build planner is too laggy 1 · Marcin [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Performance UI & UX 4 years ago by Jamie [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Hi, Could you please consider increasing refresh rate of editor's UI? It is too sluggish and makes harder to hit the right spot when clicking. I assume it's done this way to save some resources for simulation, but at this point it reppels me from creating …

2 votes Rock should appear in layers legend 0 · Andy Walker [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Terrain & Mining UI & UX 4 years ago by Andy Walker [ideas] Posted 4 years ago The layers legend doesn't include a label for rock, so it's very difficult to figure out how to obtain rock to crush into gravel. The obvious answer of just going and mining any random cliff is wrong, since it mostly produces dirt.

2 votes Stone gathering information 0 · Mike [ideas] 6 · 4 years ago Quality of life Terrain & Mining UI & UX 4 years ago by Mike [ideas] 6 Posted 4 years ago The problem: Most of the in-game suggestions about how to mine are fairly straight forward. When I realized I wanted to gather rock, I wasn't able to find anything inside the game that indicated the best (or any) way to do this. Suggested change: Something…

2 votes Add Overview of materials used for current building projects 1 · 404 [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Tools & Construction UI & UX 4 years ago by 404 [ideas] Posted 4 years ago It would be nice to know how many materials are needed for current build projects (in build and planned). With this information one can see how long it would take to build current projects with the actual production of e.g. construction items or concrete.

2 votes Pan map with Left Mouse Button 1 · Mark Clerkin [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 4 years ago by Jamie [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Add an option to pan the map when holding the left mouse button. Using the left mouse button to pan feels more intuitive and natural to me. I tend to right click to de-select frequently, so this shouldn't be an issue. Generally speaking, if some players pr…

2 votes another level of zoom for research 0 · Charles Gengler Jr [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Research & Tech UI & UX 4 years ago by Charles Gengler Jr [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Some of us play on very large screens , mine being a 43" Roku tv, I sit in my bed 8 feet away (leg injury, so i can not sit at a normal computer desk ) having more zoom on research would allow for better reading

2 votes Ability to Identify Ore 1 · MtAub [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 4 years ago by Mike [ideas] 6 Posted 4 years ago As a new player I can see different color of the terrain for the different resources, but can not identify them without mining. It would be food to get an overlay or some way to know where the resources are. I think the blue highlight is copper maybe? Wher…

2 votes Adjustable Camera with terrain height. 0 · CATman4L · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 4 years ago by CATman4L Posted 4 years ago You can zoom in and out rather nicely on at sea level and near that but as soon as the terrain is really low like on the crator map or really high you lose the ability to zoom in or zoom out as well as it treats it as though its at sea level. The crator be…

2 votes Make the Loaded Filename Available 0 · Trannix [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Saves & Loading 4 years ago by Trannix [ideas] Posted 4 years ago In game, somewhere, let us know which file we'd loaded. I did a rollback to an autosave changed a few things, and didn't like some of those changes. When I wanted to reload, I couldn't remember which autosave it was nor was it flagged in some way on the lo…

2 votes Seconds in Queue -> Oldest item in the queue 0 · PTTG [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life UI & UX Vehicles & Roads 4 years ago by PTTG [ideas] Posted 4 years ago The age of the oldest untouched item gives you a better idea of how overloaded your logistics system is than just how long it has been since the last idle vehicle.
