17 votes Show all reasons for a building not being able to be built. 1 · Burnrate [ideas] · 5 years ago Quality of life UI & UX 5 years ago by Yandersen Posted 5 years ago For example you have a farm, it can be on uneven ground that is also rocky. It will only say it cannot be built because some of the ground is not farmable. It would be good to see all reasons a structure cannot be built at any given spot. The ports and sea…

17 votes Empty factory/smelter contents button Done 2 · Waveman55 [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Production & Recipes 4 years ago by Myricaulus [ideas] Posted 5 years ago When switching from one product to another raw materials can get stuck inside. It would be nice to have an "empty contents" button similar to what pipes already have to get rid of raw materials inside of maintenance sheds. blast furnaces, factories.

16 votes More Retaining walls. 0 · Thunder-007 [ideas] · 7 months ago New content Terrain & Mining 7 months ago by Thunder-007 [ideas] Posted 7 months ago Since i REALLY miss the sloped retaining walls from COI:E, i would really like to suggest that they should be added in the game by default. That includes sloped walls, to make easier (and better looking) ramps, a medium sized wall (to fill the gap between …

In the new sandbox mode, a huge QOL feature would b…

16 votes Configurable inputs/outputs on each entry/exit of storage systems 0 · Geoff [ideas] · 10 months ago Quality of life Logistics 10 months ago by Geoff [ideas] Posted 10 months ago It would be really great to be able to customise the inputs and outputs of the storage facilities - very useful if you want to say, burn off some gas above 90% of volume off one exit, but still be able to pipe gas say if you have fifty percent off another …

16 votes Energy storage devices 1 · Steve [ideas] 3 · 10 months ago New content Power & Energy 10 months ago by poltime Posted 11 months ago In addition to existing high-temperature thermal storage equipment, could we add some “large batteries” to store electrical energy? Also, should wind power also be included in the low-carbon energy category?

16 votes Item's codex entry should tell more than recipes (buildings etc.) 2 · Final-Fan [ideas] · 10 months ago Quality of life UI & UX 10 months ago by Alkydere Posted 12 months ago Currently the codex for a given item will tell all the recipes that produce or consume that item. That's great as far as it goes, but it doesn't tell what else the item might be used for, such as buildings or vehicles. I think that's highly relevant inform…

16 votes Island Overview - Full Top-Down 1 · HeliosLD [ideas] · 7 months ago Quality of life UI & UX 7 months ago by ComputerNerd Posted 1 year ago The ability to zoom out to see the whole island would be wonderful. Lose the cloud/haze so the map can be seen clearly. Either allow players to zoom out further or add an overview button. This view would square up the map in a common orientation and allow …

16 votes Ability to change priority of construction in batches 0 · Ian [ideas] 4 · 1 year ago Quality of life Tools & Construction 1 year ago by Ian [ideas] 4 Posted 1 year ago If you're doing a construction job, you can lay it out in planning mode, and then un-pause batches of it with a selection tool. When doing that, I'd often like to be able to change the construction priority of that entire set of jobs to a higher priority. …

16 votes Tier train tech 2 · SealNSuit [ideas] · 9 months ago Trains 9 months ago by Shiranya [ideas] Posted 1 year ago Train tech right now feels a bit weird to integrate. I found myself have several super length conveyers by the time it came around, and just shrugged at it and kept using conveyers. Had the same problem in Satisfacotry. To help deal with this problem I'd s…

You must first delete existing entries before adding a new vehicle build order then re-add the entries deleted. Having the ability to manually adjust the vehicle build queue would …

16 votes liquid nitrogen for chiller to give N2 another use? 1 · Sniperteamtango [ideas] · 1 year ago New content Production & Recipes 1 year ago by Peter34 [ideas] Posted 1 year ago Lower consumption/60 for cooling but higher energy costs, but then doesn't use water for cooling. Could be neat. Could then require thermal storage for storing the LN2 from chillers.

16 votes Multi-leveled farms past greenhouses 1 · ArammisNB · 1 year ago New content Farming & Food 1 year ago by Dustin [ideas] 3 Posted 1 year ago So IRL there are a few comanies that have farms inside of buildings, and are way more effeciant. My suggestion is have this be a late game farm, after greenhouses. These would require CO2 to be input, as well as biomass/dirt to be input, and would be a sto…

16 votes Mining explosives 3 · MPR6 · 1 year ago New content Production & Recipes Terrain & Mining 1 year ago by Cpt.
