5 votes Hotkeys to Quick Build/Quick Removal without opening the Building Window 2 · ph03n1xx · 2 years ago Quality of life Tools & Construction UI & UX 2 years ago by Lion [ideas] Posted 4 years ago It's often too much of a pain to quickly get rid of multiple structures, especially in the case of multiple pipe/conveyor joints. It would be nice to have hotkey to order a Quick Build/Quick Removal of a structure, for example, holding Ctrl when placing a …

5 votes In-depth look at Solar power, day/night, and shifts 1 · PTTG · 4 years ago New content Power & Energy 4 years ago by PTTG Posted 4 years ago I had like 5000 characters I wrote on this, and I'm going to have to trim it down. In short, Instead of splitting each 2-second day into night and day periods (which will only very poorly simulate the effect of solar power and how you respond to it), give …

5 votes Add Cost to Research Screen 0 · Austin [ideas] 2 · 4 years ago Quality of life Research & Tech 4 years ago by Austin [ideas] 2 Posted 4 years ago It would be nice to see the cost of a item you are planning on researching so you can have the necessary items ready to build when research is finished.

5 votes limit population grow / size 0 · Ralf [ideas] 2 · 4 years ago Quality of life Population & Services 4 years ago by Ralf [ideas] 2 Posted 4 years ago I made a little error during my colony play by not checking the grow speed of my amount of pips. Since at start mostly not enough pips. Suddenly i had 2300\+ on island map and it looks like it is barely manageable to supply everything. By not suppling ever…

A simple key binding (e.g. hold alt) while building to autimate t…

5 votes Have research (building) cost recently unlocked resources 1 · BananaPuch [ideas] · 4 years ago Research & Tech 4 years ago by fjeske67 [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Sometimes I struggle with my motivation to continue playing, since I see no "direct" goal to work towards. While playing other factory simulations I more often have the feeling of progress, because I have to invest recently researched items to progress. My…

5 votes Assign trucks/excavators to mining tower 0 · Jackson [ideas] · 4 years ago Quality of life Vehicles & Roads 4 years ago by Jackson [ideas] Posted 4 years ago Instead of just being able to assign any available vehicle to a mining tower, the ability to select a certain vehicle, and assign it to a mining tower. Its a pain trying to get this excavator here and that one there by just random assignment.

5 votes potential lock with pure copper smelting Done 0 · Waveman55 [ideas] · 5 years ago Balance Production & Recipes 5 years ago by Waveman55 [ideas] Posted 5 years ago In order to build the electrolysis entity to smelt pure copper you need pure copper which is also used for maintenance. If you don't have the dock/ship repaired and all the pure copper went into early maintenance you might get locked down. A level one elec…

5 votes Physical and/or environmental threats (Acid rain, Pirate raids, etc) 0 · certainOrder [ideas] · 5 years ago New content Environment & Pollution World Map & Ships 5 years ago by certainOrder [ideas] Posted 5 years ago There seems to be a noticeable lack of physical or environmental threats, given the narrative of a "global catastrophe." SO2 emissions causing acid rain seems like an obvious one since coal power is such a large part of the game. The pirates also seem surp…

5 votes Autoplacement of waste dump 2 · Yandersen · 5 years ago Quality of life Tools & Construction 5 years ago by Yandersen Posted 5 years ago If a pipe dragged to the shore let the waste disposal facility be automatically placed at the end. Hope it is possible to implement. :)

5 votes Construction materials alternative 0 · Yandersen · 5 years ago Tools & Construction 5 years ago by Yandersen Posted 5 years ago Unified oversimplification to tiers of construction materials for buildings seem odd with such attention to details in other material production chains. To address this I suggest to change the way structures are built: Let one block of settlement (or a par…

4 votes I have two suggestions. 2 · telefon119 · 1 month ago Quality of life Trains UI & UX 1 month ago by RollingSten [ideas] Posted 1 month ago I have two suggestions for the railway and statistics systems: 1\. 4 votes Space rocket mark 2: Space shuttle 0 · Saphira123456 · 1 month ago New content Space & Rocketry 1 month ago by Saphira123456 Posted 1 month ago Cargo plus 7 passengers to low orbit. Uses hydrogen and oxygen for fuel, and water for sound suppression, so no need to change infrastructure. Crawler's still appropriate for it. Reusable vehicle so no need to remanufacture the orbiter or SRBs, just the ex…

4 votes Train Wagon for Trucks 1 · Ionburger [ideas] · 1 month ago New content Trains Vehicles & Roads 1 month ago by RollingSten [ideas] Posted 1 month ago Would be super cool to have a train wagon that could transport trucks, I could see it being useful for super long distance low throughput logistics, or to move trucks between islands that only have a train bridge.

4 votes Train Waggons 1 · Beat [ideas] · 1 month ago Quality of life Trains 1 month ago by RedSkyFire [ideas] Posted 1 month ago Like the possibility option to simply add or remove Train Wagons. Just produce or reduce an additional Wagon and not replace the whole Train.

Could then combine this with extra large boats and ship loaders. Extra long trains could then accompany this. Inspired by Port Hedland.

4 votes Visual Lane Offset for Trucks to Reduce Clipping on Main Roads 2 · Christian [ideas] · 1 month ago Graphics Vehicles & Roads 1 month ago by Jamie [ideas] Posted 2 months ago Currently, vehicles driving on the same path clipped into each other, which visually breaks the immersion on busy main transport corridors. 4 votes Worker classes 2 · Tom [ideas] 2 · 2 months ago New content Quality of life Population & Services 2 months ago by Tom [ideas] 2 Posted 2 months ago In theory, factory workers can always be "potato people", no matter how advanced the factory is. This means you don’t have to provide the workers with any food other than potatoes. Consequently, various unlocks and upgrades are either unnecessary or not re…
